The Gombe State Police Command, under the leadership of the Bello Yahaya Police Commissioner, has assured residents that security personnel will be strategically deployed before, during and after the Celebrations of EID-el-el-Adha Sallah to provide route coat, traffic management, access control, crowd control and general surveillance.
This development is part of the efforts to guarantee the safety of all citizens during the next Salah celebrations throughout the state.
The command, therefore, informed the general public of the comprehensive security measures that has established in all designated eid prayer fields and surrounding areas.
The deployment will include officials from other safety agencies and relevant stakeholders, who work closely collaboration with event organizers and local authorities.
The command declared that “all the routes that lead to and from Eid Ground (EDI Sarki) will be monitored and achieved to avoid the congestion of the traffic and guarantee a movement without problems of the worshipers and other users of the road.”
He added that “the access points will be clearly designated, and security controls can be carried out to guarantee public safety.”

In addition, “the faithful are advised to strictly use the input and output points provided to improve security detection and avoid unnecessary congestion.”
The command also warned strongly against indiscriminate vehicle parking, praying on the road or in front of the exit doors, since such actions can obstruct the emergency response and endanger public safety.
The members of the public and the faithful are told to cooperate with the personnel of application of the law, adhere to all traffic and safety guidelines, and remain attentive.
“Their support and compliance are crucial to guarantee a peaceful and incident celebration,” emphasized the command.
The Police Commissioner extended the warm greeting of Sallah to the Muslim faithful and assured the public the unwavering commitment of the Safeguarding Command Lives and Properties during the entire festive period, as it contains in a statement of the DSP Buhari Abdullahi, Police Public Relations officer.
