The people of the Umonachi community in the area of the local government of Dunukofia of the State of Anambra have reached an agreement through an oath take to deliver the candidate of the young progressive party (YPP), Paul Chukwuma and his fellow formula, Uzu Okagbue, in the next election of governor of November 8, 2025, in the state.
The oath event took place at the Community Civil Center on Saturday.
According to Chief Ikechukwu Nwachuya, Prime Minister (ONOWO) of the city, who officiated the oath, said the exercise is to ensure that no community member casts his vote for another political party during the voting process.
Nwachuya said that the process is to assure his son “Mr. Okagbue” that all the people of the Kingdom of Umonachi are solidly behind his ambition.
“We are embarking on this as a way of paying what his father and he have done for the growth and development of the community. We also embarked on a door -to -door campaign in the council area to ensure that his party arises victorious at the polls. Favor,” Nwachuita promised.
Okagbue, in his reaction on behalf of his boss and the party, praised his people for breath.
He said: “I expected this at that time, so. It is a survey of emotion. I have worked for it. I hoped that at a time they would be by my side to encourage me, to pray for me and offer me this emotional support.
“The blessing I receive today is not a surprise because I have continued working and speaking for them.
“The election of governor of November 8, 2025 is an election that is very important for us, Ndi-Anambra. It is an election in which I could not have embarked without the full blessing of my people.
“I am grateful to God that one day like this, the people of the Umonachi community would unanimity to appreciate my previous works and encourage me to do more.”
Okagbue assured people that its director, Chukwuma, if chosen, will bring good governance and holistic development to the State.
