Gunmen murder Udala FC owner Philip, manager, cops


Unknown gunmen have killed Philip Udala, president of Udala Football Club in Anambra state.

The billionaire was killed when his convoy was ambushed at the Eke-Agu market junction in Abatete, Idemili North local government area.

The attackers initially targeted a police facility in the area and were fleeing the scene when they encountered the Udala convoy.

Police officers attached to Udala were killed and vehicles burned. The victims were reportedly still inside.

Anambra: Gunmen kill AIFL scribe when club president disappears Godsent Eriobu, manager of Udala FC and secretary of the Anambra Independent League (AIFL), also in the caravan, was shot dead.

The Rev. P. Obinna Dike, president of AIFL, said the league lost two key members who loved the game.
