In related development, Tinubu also proposed that Nigeria should be a nation of producers instead of just being consumers.
He said this in his speech of the Independence Day to the Nigerians on Wednesday, saying that it was time for the country to be a consumer nation to a producer.
“Let’s be a nation of producers, not only of consumers. We aggravate our lands and build factories to process our products. Let’s proof the goods made in Nigeria. I say Nigeria first,” said Tinubu.
The president explained that the reforms such as eliminating fuel subsidies and the unification of change rates were difficult but necessary to restore the economy.
