The president of the House of Representatives, Excmo. Tajudeen Abbas said on Saturday that the tremendous support he receives from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as his association with Governor Uba Sani of the state of Kaduna, are the basis of his achievements in office.
The speaker Abbas declared this in Tsaria during the celebration of the second anniversary of his relief, where he presented his score card to his voters.
He pointed out that his ability to attract important projects and other democratic dividends to people was not a unique effort but collective.
The speaker Abbas described Governor Sani as a reliable partner whose great interest is to bring progress to his people.
“None of these milestones would have been achieved without the renewed agenda of hope of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the firm support of Governor Uba Sani,” he said.
In a notable movement, the people of the federal constituency of Tsaria presented an excellent prize to President Tinubu through some of his ministers present. He was presented jointly by the speaker Abbas and Governor Sani. The prize was in recognition of Tinubu's support to the speaker.
The speaker Abbas listed his achievements since his election in the National Assembly in 2011 as the basis on which he consolidated himself as a speaker, expressing his gratitude to the people of Tsaria for his faith in him.
“Fourteen years ago, I responded to his call to represent Tsaria in the National Assembly, leaving behind my roles as a teacher, bathroom officer and academic pioneer. When I entered politics, I did not seek power, but the opportunity to raise our people.
“During my time as a member of the House of Representatives, I sponsored more bills than any other legislator in the history of Nigeria. In the ninth assembly, I sponsored 74 bills, 21 of which received the president's assent. This is the highest number registered for any legislator since the independence of Nigeria.
“Two years ago, my colleagues humiliated me that they chose me to serve as a speaker. In the last two years, I have done everything within my power to justify the confidence that all of you have placed in me. Here in Tsaria, we have established new institutions for agriculture, veterinary science, technical education and the inclusion of disability.
“We have expanded secondary education, we launched a scholarship scheme of N5 billion for more than 10,000 students and began the construction of a university campus, nursing, nursing and legal studies of N80 billion education villages.
“We have improved the well -being of teachers in rural areas, renewed schools, the empowered women and young people through vocational centers, an improved tertiary infrastructure, delivered vital community projects such as drilling wells, solar lighting and motherhood care, and honored our traditional institutions with vehicles to support their unification role.”
He said that the next two years would give him the opportunity to take advantage of the achievements, ”said the speaker.
He assured his constituents more achievements in the next two years, urging them to continue supporting him, the state government and the administration of President Tinubu.
“While we look at the next two years, I give this solemn promise: that I will build on these foundations, guided by their support and the grace of the Almighty Allah, to deepen prosperity, unity and dignity in Tsaria and our country in general.”
In his comments, Governor Sani, who was the special guest of honor in the event, described the speaker as a “humble and cerebral” personality that has had two years of remarkable representation in the Chamber, saying: “The state of Kaduna is indebted to you.”
He warned the speaker's claims, saying that his association with the speaker Abbas has brought several benefits to Kaduna and Tsaria, adding that the speaker “has been the speaker with the best performance in the history of the Nigerian legislature.”
“This same house has approved more bills than any other house since the return of democracy in 1999.
“The state of Kaduna is indebted to you and will always support it. He always does everything possible to put smiles on people's faces. As is bringing projects to Tsaria, he is also bringing projects to the 23 local governments in the state of Kaduna. He sat with us and identified these projects and strategies on how to place them.

“Mr. President, in the state of Kaduna we will continue to support him and be sure that history and posterity will be friendly to you,” said Governor Sani.
Speaking previously in a message of good will, the Minister of Women's Affairs, Hajia Iman Sulaiman, said that in just two years, the speaker has “redefined what it means leading with a purpose.”
“You have shown that commitment and compassion are the distinctive seal of leadership. Your support resolves to support the invoices of women who talk about Nigerian concerns is well recognized. You have confirmed what we all know, that a nation cannot advance with half of its people on the site,” he said.
The president of the Local Government of Tsaria, Eng. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad described the achievements of the speaker to include the distribution of more than 58,000 fertilizer bags in the last two years, as well as 815 motorcycles, including those given on Saturday in addition to the 116 already distributed.
He said that 23 road projects have already been completed, and another 18 began in the 2025 budget, he added that the speaker also built and improved many police stations throughout the local government of Tsaria.
The Emir of Zazzau, Amb. Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli, in his message of good will, thanked the speaker for what he has been doing for the people of the state of Tsaria and Kaduna.
He also expressed his delight in the collaboration efforts between the speaker and the governor of the state of Kaduna, urging the continuation of the cooperation that has benefited the State as a whole and Tsaria in particular.
