Before its National Elective Convention of November 15, 2025, the Popular Democratic Party (PDP) will open the Organizing Committee on Tuesday, September 2.
The National Convention Organization Committee (NCOC) has 110 members, including all PDP governors. The governor of the state of Adamawa, Mr. Ahmadu Fintiri, is the president; His counterpart from the state of Osun, Senator Adela Adelev, is the first vice president, while the governor of the State of Enugu, Mr. Peter Mbah, is the secretary of the Committee. The second vice president is Kabiru Tanimu Turaki.
The adult senator Wabara, who is the president of the Board of Trustees (Bot) and Senator Bukola Saraki are two former presidents of the body, who are members of the Senate, in addition to the current leader of the Senate minority, Senator Abba Moro.
The national president of the PDP and former National President (South), Chief Olabode George, are also among the big names of the Committee.
The Convention, which will be held in Ibadan, the capital of the state of Oyo, was approved by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party during its 101st meeting.

In development promotion, the National Secretary of Advertising, Honorable Debolongunagba, announced Thursday that the NCOC, which has the main task of planning the event, would open on September 2.
“The Organization Committee of the PDP 2025 National Convention of 110 members has the governor of his excellence Ahmadu Fintiri of the State of Adamawa as president, his excellence, Governor Adelano Adeleke of the State of Osun as vice president and his excellence, governor Peter Mbah of the State of ENUGU as secretary.
“The NWC accuses all leaders, critical stakeholders and slope members of the PDP to remain united, focused and continue working together for the success of the National Elective Convention PDP 2025 scheduled to be held in Ibadan, the capital of the state of Oyo on Saturday 15 to Sunday, November 16, 2025,”, a declaration of ology of a retail.
The party insisted that the Ibadan convention will continue despite the waves that its decision to locate the 2027 presidential ticket to the south has generated.
On Thursday, one of the presidential applicants, Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, maintained his land that the decision was “unconstitutional” and a deliberate act to close some members of the contest for the ticket.
Speaking on the Arise News television program, Morning Show, Olawepo-Hashim argued that Nigerians did not care what region or area produced the president, but they were out of a “competent candidate and president” that would address the country’s development sights.
He pointed out that the zoning agreement would not allow the appearance of competent personalities to compete for the place.
But Oologunagba declared that, although the PDP recognized the democratic rights of the members to express their feelings, it would not be prevented from holding their convention or making a decision on the zoning of the presidential ticket.
