Environmental stakeholders and defenders, under the auspices of climateness and women in Nigeria mining, have contributed their voices to the challenges facing the environment and earth.
The interested parties and defenders, through a recent virtual event with the theme “Our Power Our Planet” and remained in commemoration of the Global Earth Day Summit of the Earth of 2025, amplified the message of environmental action and sustainability that represents Earth Day.
According to the organizers, the essence of the event was to boost a greener future through a collaboration platform for various professionals to discuss innovative and sustainable solutions to environmental action and land challenges that fit the global Earth Day approach.
Climatearnation Coordinator, Ruth Chigbo, declared that the event was a testimony of their collective responsibility and the power that each person has to shape a sustainable future.
He added that they intended to inspire, empower and encourage everyone to actively contribute to a healthier and more resistant land, ensuring a legacy for coming generations.
“In Climatearnation, we believe that the Earth is more than a planet ─ It is our shared home, a feeling in the heart of our theme 'Our power of our planet,” he said.
The guest speaker, Peter Ayeni, shared his ideas and vision for a sustainable future, especially because it refers to environmental sustainability through innovation and technology.
Ichor Joshua focused his presentation on the environmental responsibility that will promote actions to achieve clean access to drinking water in sub -Saharan Africa. On the other hand, Dr. Janet Adeyemi spoke about the need to continuously advocate climate action.
Igede Felix paper presenters, Areola Joshua and Abdurrahmon Akesire contributed their experience to the discussion. Brandon Reynolds, Praneetha Monipi, Chinza Arukwe-Posses, Ikani Isreal and Victor Chukwuemezie shared their ideas and projects on the subject of the event.
The singer Tolulope Olatunji, through his performance, reminded the attendees of the power of creativity in the inspiration of environmental awareness.
The experience of jury members, Isah Buny Amin, Love Olowu, Chris Nwachukwu and Adebayo Olaniyi, moderated by Joy Kalu-Johnson, contributed significantly to the album.
The organizers of the event emphasized that all the inhabitants of the Earth must take tangible steps to contribute to a healthier planet, and added that all efforts to this end must translate into concrete actions that guarantee a sustainable future for all.
In the event, prizes were awarded to young people who address sustainability challenges. Theophilus Venn emerged in the first position, Edesiri Ovuodeforen was second and John Tosin Adekunle was third. A questionnaire was made with Akesire Abdurrahmon.
