The Comptroller General of the Customs Service of Nigeria (NCS), Bashir Adeniyi, has accused the 25 high -level customs officers recently graduated to continue being ambassadors of positive change.
Bashir declared this at the graduation ceremony of the officers who were trained for a month
Senior Executive Course in Complex Customs Operations, by the Development Consultant of Building Peace (PBDC) held on Friday at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Lagos.
He said they have demonstrated excellence in learning and character, describing them as the future generation of leaders.
The CG pointed out that the investment in officers is worthy of a penny.
This was just as a continuous association said with PBDC and Niia.
“I want to charge you to remain ambassadors of a positive change in customs.
“You have demonstrated excellence in learning and character; we are proud that you are the future generation of leaders.
“The investment in this course for officers is worth every penny. Participants must be considered lucky.
“We will continue associated with PBDC, Niia, as ordered by the World Customs Organization,” he said.
In his comments, the founder of the Construction Peace Development Council (PBDC), Kayode Balaji, explained that the course will allow them to involve the emerging senior managers in the customs service.
According to him, he will prepare them for complex operations in the areas of leadership, operations, administration, collaboration between agencies, international relations and commerce.
