Vice President of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu on Sunday condemned the abduction of dozens of students at the private St. Mary’s Papiri Catholic Secondary School, Papiri, in Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State.
Let us remember that armed men, suspected armed bandits, broke into the school on Friday and kidnapped dozens of schoolchildren.
The vice president condemned the incident and described it as worrying.
Honorable. Kalu, however, encouraged security agencies to deploy all necessary skills and strategies to rescue the students and apprehend their kidnappers.
Expressing solidarity with the Niger State Government and the families of the victims, the Vice President assured them of all necessary legislative support and interventions to help address insecurity in the country.
