* Land rover

From its rugged appearance decades ago defining its off-road prowess, Land rover has redefined its iconic Defender with bold design and new technologies.

But the most interesting thing is that the new Defender did not lose his ability which made him the choice of the military worldwide. Looking quite captivating, with an outstanding cool design, the Land Rover is now even more capable.

The great news right now is that the most capable Land Rover ever made is now available in sub-Saharan Africa. In addition to the luxurious and refined Range Rover family and capable and versatile Discovery SUVs, the new Defender completes the Land Rover line.

The new version is not only driven by passion and respect for the original, but also inherits the naming convention from the previous model. Now available in the form of a 110, which gives a historic nod to the previous generation’s 110-inch wheelbase, the Defender 110 body style offers customers a choice of five, six, or 5 + 2 seating configurations and a cargo space ranging from 1,075 liters behind the second row, to 2,380 liters with folded seats.

A short wheelbase Defender 90, which seats up to six people, is slated to be unveiled early next year. At the recent launch in South Africa, Jaguar Land Rover’s headquarters in sub-Saharan Africa, the market that covers Nigeria, Land Rover offered the 110 lineup featuring an iconic 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder P400 with efficient smooth hybrid. Electric vehicle technology with powers of 294kW and 550Nm.

Alternatively, customers can choose between two 2.0-liter variants, with a P300 turbocharged gasoline offering 221kW and 400Nm, and a D240 twin turbocharged diesel producing 177kW and 430Nm. The Defender will be presented in Nigeria at any time by Coscharis Motors.

A wide range of models is available, with four specification packages that include the base Defender, S, SE, and HSE models. Standard features on all versions include permanent all-wheel drive with a high and low-range transfer case, air suspension, terrain response, LED headlights, connected navigation, 3D Surround cameras, 10-inch Pivi Pro infotainment and a condition monitor from the driver to name a few.
