Osun state Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has provided insights into his management of state resources, particularly regarding palliative measures initiated by his administration and those supported by the Federal Government.
In response to recent reports and inquiries from various groups, Mr Adeleke, as stated by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, urged commentators to refer to publicly available facts about government programs to avoid being perceived as supporting opposition interests.

He emphasized that his administration has made its plans and intentions clear across different sectors and has prioritized transparency and openness in governance.
Regarding palliative distribution in Osun State, Mr Adeleke encouraged civil society to conduct thorough field reviews before making any judgments, as most questions could be answered through research or direct freedom of information requests to relevant government agencies.
He explained that rice distribution was managed by a non-governmental committee chaired by the chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria and included representation from various non-governmental groups. He also highlighted the ongoing government programs focusing on palliative interventions such as wage awards, cooperative loans for artisans, free medical surgeries, grants for the poor, and improvements in transport access and affordability.

The statement also refuted claims that the Governor added N2 billion to the N100 billion infrastructure fund and reminded the public that government funds are governed by laws and laws. He further emphasized the importance of reading the state Governor’s plan on food security and highlighted efforts to reform the state’s mining sector to address corruption and lack of accountability.
