The Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, Elon Musk, Sam Altman and others have reached the artificial intelligence list (AI) 2025 Time100.
This was announced by the special advisor, means and communications to the minister, Isime Esene.
Esene said the list is a recognition of the 100 most influential people in AI.
According to him, when gathering the list, Time’s editors and reporters examined the key stories at AI during the past year and consulted with expert sources and industry leaders to obtain recommendations.
“The result is a list of 100 leaders, innovators, forms and thinkers who have a participation in the future of AI,” he said.
He said that the inclusion of Tijani in the prestigious list reflected Nigeria’s growing leadership in AI advancement for inclusive and sustainable development.
Meanwhile, Tijani said that from the national strategy of AI (Nais), the Ministry obtained more than 120 experts of Nigerian ancestry to cook the long -term strategy for the use and responsible development of AI.
According to him, this is for research and demonstration initiatives that show cases of potential and practical use for AI in critical sectors such as medical care, agriculture, education and financial inclusion.
“With the support of partners such as Google, The Gates Foundation and others, Nigeria is facilitating the mature solution scale of local innovatives,
“We are providing resources, tutoring and support necessary to translate ideas into impact.
“This recognition of time even more validates our belief that Nigeria can be a world leader in the responsible and inclusive deployment of AI for greater productivity,” he said.
The minister expressed his commitment to ensure that the AI ​​drives innovation and also contributes to building an economy of one billion dollars as scheduled by President Bola Tinubu.
“With this global recognition, Nigeria reinforces its commitment to take advantage of AI to create opportunities for its citizens and contribute to the progress of responsible technology worldwide,” said Tijani.
