The operations of the National Agency for the Application of the Drug Law (NDLEA), the Kano State Command, have recovered 8,000 bottles of Akuskura (a mixture of herbs) suspicious that contain dangerous drugs, along with 48 blocks of cannabis sativa.
The public relations officer of the Command, Superintendent Narcotics Assistant Sadiq Muhammad Maigatari, revealed this in a statement made available to the press in Kano.
He said that a 37 -year -old suspect Ali Muhammad was arrested in relation to the seizure.
According to him, “the interception occurred around Gadar Tamburawa, along the Tsaria -Kano road, during the stop of a trailer that transmits lake products on its way to Maiduguri.”

He explained that the trailer, which was completely loaded with tricycles (Keke Napep), had the hidden exhibitions between the tricycles and under the trailer, where a wooden cover had been built to hide the items.
Maigatari added: “Ndlea agents discovered concealment through their diligence and commitment.”
He pointed out that the exhibitions and the suspect are now in custody of Ndlea pending a laboratory research and analysis to confirm the nature of the substances and determine the complete scope of the operation.
The commander of the Kano State Command, ACGN AI AHMAD, praised the continuous support of the President/Executive Director of Ndlea, Brig. General Mohamed Buba Marwa (RTD.), Which, he said, has allowed the frontline commands to act decisively.
The NDLEA also urged the public to remain attentive and inform suspicious shipments or activities to the nearest NDLEA office or any other law application agency.
