The Nigerian stock market maintained its upward career to close a negotiation session in a positive note on Thursday, in the middle of registering mixed results in key performance indicators.
The market capitalization of the Nigerian exchange (NGX) increased by N1.76 billion, which represents an increase of 2.28 percent to settle in N78.73 billion after the new guarantee list Trust Holding Company (GTCO).
The All Share (as) index increased by 2.01 percent, adding 2,457.13 basic points to close in a new historical maximum of 124,446.80 basic points.
Therefore, the market index and market capitalization diverged, since the Nigerian exchange lists the PLC PLC public offer of 2,288,250,000 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each to N70.00 per action in the exchange on Thursday.
The feeling of investors remained positively, as reflected in the amplitude of the market, with the local stock market registering its seventh consecutive earnings session.
With booming trade, market amplitude closed to a large extent, registering 70 winners and 10 losers. In addition, the market performance was positive.
FTN Cocoa Processor, Haldane McCall Holdings, United Bank for Africa, Uacn Property Development Company, Caverton Offshore Support Group and Consolidated Hallmark Holdings beat the list of progress for today with an appreciation of prices of 10.00 percent each.
Other winners include Redstar Express, ABC Transport Services, Cap, Ellah Lakes, Aiico Insurance and another fifty -nine. Ten actions depreciated, according to the negotiation details obtained from the Nigerian market.
On the contrary, Neimeth International Pharmaceuticals was the main loser, with a price depreciation of -9.91 percent.
Other decliners include Legend Internet Services, Cadbury Nigeria, cattle, VFD Group and Dangote Sugar.
The sustained demonstration was mainly promoted by a strong purchase interest in all the main market sectors.
The five main market sectors were led, led by the insurance sector, which grew by +3.96 percent, followed by the banking sector, an increase in +3.86 percent, and the consumer goods sector, which won +1.15 percent. In addition, the industrial sector increased by +0.25 percent, and the oil and gas sector experienced a moderate increase of +0.04 percent.
On Thursday, commercial activities improved as the total volume and total value of operations increased by 44.05 percent and 77.62 percent respectively.
Approximately 1,280.16 million units valued at N27,726.76 million were held at 27,875 agreements.
In terms of volume, Access Holdings led the table of activities, which represents 13.62 percent of the total volume of operations, followed by Aiico Insurance, Japaul Gold Ventures, United Bank for Africa and First City Monument Bank (FCMB Group), completing the first five.
Access Holdings also emerged as the most negotiated actions in terms of value, which represents 14.38 percent of the total value of all transactions of actions carried out in the exchange.
