The Niger Niger state chapter of the Nigerian Institute has celebrated its 2025 symposium and the Annual General Assembly (AGM), to strategically plan the future.
The event took place at the Minna Women's Multipurpose Center with the theme: Communication Strategies in the Management of Security Information in the State of Niger, with main speakers, presentation in role of perspective and discussion on the subject.

In his opening comments, the president of the occasion and the former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Amb. Zubairu Dada said that insecurity has been devastating the State, therefore, it has become necessary to be careful when managing security information to restore peace in the communities affected in the state of Niger.
The main president, the Police CP Commissioner, the Niger State Command, Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, who was represented by the CPS Jude Akaze explained that it is the responsibility of the Police to protect lives and properties of citizens and administer the crises well, also the information of use of the police to address the crises where strategic communication is used to obtain effective means of tazling crisis.
He requested the participation of citizens by providing adequate and realistic information to curb insecurity and crimes, ensuring the confidentiality of their informants, therefore, therefore, the police cannot do it alone without other contributions from interested parties.
When presenting his article, the state commissioner of Niger for National Security, General Abdullahi Mohammed (RTD) said that security is very crucial that emphasizes the need to generate trust, since it is a key role in strategic communication.
For his part, the head of mass communications of the department, the Lapai of the University of IBB, the medical Ternenge Samuel Ende, explained about the need to stop hiding or monopolizing information described as unequivocal and that the correct information should be approved for effective communication.
The Nipr Niger status chapter presented posthumous prizes to the late Abubakar Tanko Achituwo, the late Mathew Daniel and the late Mohammed Ali, respectively.
Meanwhile, the event was attended by NIPR members, journalists, mass communication students and several security agencies, among others.
