Developing news on the current situation between popular Nollywood actress, Funmi Lawal, and prophet Oladele Isreal Ogundipe of the Genesis Global Celestial Church of Christ, sees her being handed over a four count charge by the Lagos State Magistrates Court such as ongoing fraud / violation. The claims case is postponed until November 9, 2020; with the attorney for the Nollywood actress asking for bail today in court.

It will be remembered that the pastor in question had forgiven the actress but still wants the law to run its full course.

The charge for four accounts is listed below:

ACCOUNT ONE

That you Funmi Lawal ‘f’ and others in general in or about June 2020 in Lagos, within the jurisdiction of this honorable court, conspired among yourselves to commit a serious crime with the publication of the defamatory matter and therefore, committed an offense to the contrary and punishable under section 411 of the 2015 Lagos State Penal Laws.

COUNT TWO

That you Funrni Lawal ‘f’ and others in general on or around June 2020 in Lagos, within the jurisdiction of this honorable court, did in a way that likely damaged the reputation of the Prophet Oladele Isreal Ogundipe of Genesis Global Celestial Church of Christ by exposing him to hate, despise or ridicule or probably damage his profession as a prophet by uploading his videos and audio recordings on social networks and, therefore, he committed an offense contrary and punishable under article 375 of the penal code Law Cap C38 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.

ACCOUNT THREE

That you Funmi Lawal ‘f’ and others in general in or about June 2020 in Lagos, within the jurisdiction of this honorable court, did in a way that probably caused the breach of the peace, published a libelous case against the Prophet Oladele Isreal Ogundipe of Genesis Global Celestial Church and therefore committed an offense to the contrary and punishable under section 168 (1), (d), (2) of the 2015 Lagos State Penal Law.

ACCOUNT FOUR

That you Funmi Lawal ‘f’ and others in general on or about June 2020 in Lagos, within the jurisdiction of this honorable court with the intent to intimidate or annoy, threatened the life of Prophet Oladele Isreal Ogundipe of Genesis Global Celestial Church and, therefore, he committed an offense to the contrary and punishable under article 56 (1), (a), (b) of the 2015 Lagos State Criminal Law.
