Dear reader,

I was invited to speak at the National Prayer Breakfast in February 2013 and I did. As I stood just feet away from President Obama, my fellow Americans demanded that our nation return to the ideas that made it possible for America to become the greatest nation in the world.

Many people in the country heard and responded to what was said, but our nation’s decline has persisted. The risk is greater than ever and never before has a message been conveyed with a greater sense of urgency than now.

We have strayed far from our founders’ original vision as a result of our rapidly increasing debt and moral decline. In terms of fundamental education, we have not made much progress. The Affordable Care Act poses a risk to our health, our freedom, and our economic future. Both elitism in the media and political correctness have gotten out of hand.

Worst of all, we seem to have lost the ability to discuss important issues calmly and respectfully, regardless of the political party we belong to or any other disagreements that may exist. To find solutions to our challenges, we must work together.

I had no choice but to write this book after realizing that my grandchildren’s future is in danger due to irresponsible spending, ungodly governance, and petty tactics to suppress opponents. My mission is to provide a way to reverse the course of our collapse by appealing to the decency and common sense of every American.

If each of us does nothing and waits for someone else to act, we will soon find ourselves in a desperate situation. But I believe it is possible for the United States of America, with your help, to once again be “one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
