The Oyo State Government, through the Youth Development Agency, under the leadership of Hon. Adebowale Adebayo Falana has unveiled a 24-member organizing committee for the upcoming December Blizzard entertainment event and appointed prominent entertainment figure Mr. Oluwatosin Odita (King Zlo) as chairman.
Highlights of the event include the Best DJ and Hypelord categories which feature fierce competition with Star Prizes of N5 million for the best DJ, N2 million for the best Hypelord and other mouth-watering prizes to be won.
According to the president of the youth agency, the Hon. Adebowale acknowledged that the committee will oversee the planning, coordination, security, logistics, programming and general execution of the event, which is scheduled to take place next December.
King Zlo, known for his active involvement in the creative and nightlife scene in Oyo State, was selected to head the committee in recognition of his organizational skills and long-standing contributions to the entertainment sector.
His appointment reflects a continued commitment to engaging interested youth in key initiatives under the leadership of His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde.
However, the committee is made up of entertainment industry professionals, Deejays representatives, Hypelord representatives, and youth group delegates to ensure a smooth and successful December Blizzard edition. Reacting to his appointment, King Zlo expressed gratitude for the opportunity and promised that the committee would deliver a vibrant and well-coordinated event that highlights the creative force and cultural diversity of Oyo State.
He added that planning activities would begin immediately and regular updates would be provided to the public.
The Oyo State Government, through the Youth Development Agency, has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting entertainment and creative industries as avenues for youth engagement, tourism growth and economic development.
More details regarding the event schedule, registration fee for the DJ and Hypelord, and screening location are expected to be released in the coming days.
