The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has displayed and released the authentic EC9 form confirming the name of Olooye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke as the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo.
Adegoke Taofeek Adegboyega’s EC9 form was released by INEC on Saturday midnight.
The name that was displayed alongside other gubernatorial candidates from other political parties in different states where elections will be held in 2027 complies with the schedule set by INEC for the 2027 general elections.

INEC in the calendar has said that on Saturday, August 29, it will display the names of several gubernatorial candidates put forward by various political parties.
INEC will conduct gubernatorial elections across the country on Saturday, February 6, 2027.
The gubernatorial elections will be held in Oyo and 27 other states, while the State Assemblies elections will be held in the 36 states of the federation.
When contacted about the development, Olooye Adegoke’s media team said they had no doubt, even before INEC displayed Adegoke’s name, that their director is the “authentic ADC gubernatorial candidate in Oyo State.”
“We know that our director, Olooye Adegoke, participated in the ADC gubernatorial primaries which were duly monitored by INEC and came out on top to emerge as the party’s gubernatorial candidate for Oyo State. “This display of our director’s name should put an end to another aspirant’s claim that he is the party’s candidate.
“We therefore urge all other aspirants and their supporters to immediately desist from any further misrepresentation and respect the decision of the party and the position of INEC.
“The ADC remains committed to providing credible leadership and good governance to the people of Oyo. Olooye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke is a proven leader with the capacity, vision and experience to deliver on the mandate of rebuilding Oyo State.
“We call on our members, supporters and the good people of Oyo State to remain calm, unified and focused as we mobilize ahead of the elections..“
