The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday suspended its National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, and National Organization Secretary, Hon Umar Bature, for alleged anti-party activities.

The National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade, and Deputy National Legal Adviser, Okechukwu Osuoha, were also suspended.

The National Working Committee (NWC) made the decision at a meeting held on Saturday in Abuja.

Announcing the suspension, the National Publicity Secretary, Honorable Debo Ologunagba, explained that the concerned officials committed several offenses in violation of the PDP constitution.

The suspension came barely 24 hours after a Federal High Court in Abuja halted the party’s upcoming National Elective Convention on November 15.
