The Police Command in Kaduna state has said its officers arrested a suspected bandit and recovered an AK-47 rifle in the Kudaru forest of Saminaka, Lere local government area of the state.
ASP Mohammed Jalige, the Command’s public relations officer, revealed this in a statement in Kaduna on Saturday.
Jalige explained that on Friday at approximately 7:45 a.m., officers intercepted a green Volkswagen Golf vehicle with registration number KAG 142 AA, which was heading towards Kaduna while conducting a routine patrol through the Kudaru forest. in Saminaka.

Jalige revealed that the suspect is currently undergoing a thorough investigation and is providing useful information to the police.
According to him, efforts are underway to capture gang members fleeing to face the full wrath of the law.
He reported that the state Police Commissioner, CP Umar Muri, assured the public that the command would do everything possible to ensure that the gang members were evicted and their operational weapons recovered.
