Two suspected armed robbers were arrested in the Isiala-Mbano local government area of ​​Imo state by agents of the new government’s Search and Flush security team.

POSTCARD DAILY realized that police were patrolling the area alongside a local security guard around 7 p.m. Monday when they became alarmed by an ongoing robbery.

The suspects whose names were given as Chikwubuike Chijioke from Nwangele LGA and Stanley Benedict from Umucheze Obollo in Isiala-Mbano LGA respectively, were said to be members of a gang that recently attacked a family in the Omuokie Ibeme community in Isiala-Mbano itself LGA.

An eyewitness account revealed that there were more than four thieves, but police were able to arrest two after chasing them.

Some of the items recovered from the armed robbers were mobile phones, laptops, and cash, among other things.

In reaction to the incident, the chairman of the Isiala-Mbano LGA Provisional Administration Committee, Chika Okoroike, praised the new search and download, adding that it will go a long way in reducing crime in the state to the lowest level.
