The Qatar Charity Organization has donated economic empowerment teams worth more than N300 million to 60 widows and vulnerable women and men attracted to 27 areas of the local government in the state of Jigawa.
Distributing the items at banquet hall of government house, Dutse presidid over by the governor of the state, malam umar Ghanim al-Hajiri, The Ambassador of Qatar to Nigeria and the Country Director of Qatar Charity, Sheik Hamdi Abdou
Malam Umar Namadi explained that the support team was provided to 60 beneficiaries, generously provided by Qatar's charity organization in Nigeria as part of the ongoing association between the Jigawa state government and the state of Qatar.

According to the governor, “among the two aforementioned periods, Qatar Charity has also supported the provision of water, educational and mosque facilities in various places in the state of Jigawa.”
“This sustained support of the qatar beneficial organization and the presence of the ambassador, and the director of the country, means a lot for both the government and the people of the Jigawa state. We are really honored with the privilege of having it in our environment and sincerely appreciate the continuous support for socio -economic development, the empowerment and well -being of our people.”
Namadi added that the gesture is deeply demonstrating the bond of the brotherhood, love and association between the Qatar Government, the Charity Organization of Qatar and the Government and the people of the state of Jigawa.
Speaking on the occasion, the Nigerian ambassador to Qatar, Dr. Ali Bin Ghanim al-Hajiri, praised Governor Namadi for the notable achievements of his administration in education, agriculture, infrastructure and social development. He emphasized the force of the bilateral relationship.
Dr. Ali Bin Ghanim Al-Hajiri said: “Jigawa is unique for its political, economic and social values, as well as agricultural development.”
“His vision of a better state of Jigawa through several development programs and initiatives is really commendable, and is reflected in the fact that Jigawa's state is, today, one of Nigeria's safest states.”
In his part, the State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Special Duties, Mr. Auwalu Danladi Sankara said that the support of livelihoods provided by the Charity Organization of Qatar and the presence of the highest possible delegation of both the Embassy and the organization means a lot for the government and the people of the state of Jigawa.
The commissioner said that “it means the bond of friendship and association between the state of Qatar and the state of Jigawa, it also means love and mutual respect between the ambassador and the director of the country and the governor Mal Umar Namadi.”
Sankara said that the criteria followed in the beneficiary's selection include that the two most vulnerable people were selected from each of the 27 LGA as beneficiaries, he added that the remaining slots were assigned to the five emirates, and an additional to the most vulnerable person.
He praised the friendly gesture of the organization to support the people of the state with life materials, said that the beneficiaries will make good use of the materials provided to them.
The materials distributed to the beneficiaries include 20 units each of tricycles for human transport, tricycles for the transport of goods, heavy -duty grinding machines and an additional N50,000 concession to each of the beneficiaries by the government of the Jigawa state to complement the efforts made by the organization.
One of the beneficiaries of the local government of Malam Madori, Hajia Fátima, who could not hide his joy, praised the organization for the friendly gesture and the state government for finding it worthy among the beneficiaries, saying that he will make good use of the grinding machine they gave him and the capital to take good care of his family..
