The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has been praised for using the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) to provide food support to the poor and vulnerable people across the country.
The commendation was delivered by the former First Lady of Bauchi State, Hajiya Hadiza Muhammad Abdullahi, in Bauchi during an interview with journalists at the formal presentation of food items under the Renewed Hope Initiative Food Outreach Scheme.
He said the intervention would provide relief to people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, while also helping to support their families and improve their overall wellbeing.
According to her, the food outreach scheme was designed to complement the efforts of the federal government to address food insecurity and other socio-economic challenges faced by vulnerable Nigerians.

Hadiza expressed gratitude to the First Lady for extending the intervention to 29 states, including Bauchi, as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
He also commended the two donors who supported the program and expressed gratitude for their generosity and sustained commitment to improving the well-being of vulnerable Nigerians.
The former First Lady further commended Senator Oluremi Tinubu for his commitment to ensuring that the Renewed Hope Initiative reaches Nigerians facing difficult circumstances.
He described the food distribution drive as an important intervention that would provide immediate support to families in need and complement President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“Our objective in the Renewed Hope Initiative is to complement the Renewed Hope Agenda by supporting Nigerians to strive and achieve their aspirations regardless of their circumstances or status,” he said.
Hadiza also described the National Community Food Bank Program as timely, noting that it would help improve access to nutritious food, combat child malnutrition, and promote the healthy growth and development of children.
He commended the Bauchi State Government for its cooperation and commitment to the welfare and development of its population, particularly vulnerable groups.
Hadiza also thanked the First Lady of Bauchi State, Dr. Aisha Bala Mohammed, for her support in the successful implementation of the Renewed Hope Initiative in the state.
He expressed optimism that the intervention would provide significant relief to beneficiaries and contribute to ongoing efforts to reduce hunger and food insecurity among vulnerable Nigerians.
