Paloma Nicole Arellano Escobedo, a 14 -year -old girl in Mexico, died days after undergoing breast enlargement and raising her butt without her father’s knowledge, with her mother’s plastic surgeon’s boyfriend now under investigation for a possible negligent homicide.

He died on Saturday in a hospital in Durango, Mexico, after being in a coma with a swollen brain and heart problems after surgery a week earlier, according to the century of Durango.

His father, Carlos Arellano, while saying his last farewell, said he was told that he died from complications of Covid-19, but then discovered that he had undergone surgery.

“At the funeral, some relatives told me that their breasts were bigger than I had before, and when I mentioned it to their mother, she told me that it was not true, that she knew nothing,” he told prosecutors, according to Az Central.

He said he asked his ex -wife’s family to leave the room to be able to examine his daughter’s body with the help of his mother, sister and sister -in -law.

“Indeed: she had breast implants. We have photographs of the implants and scars. We immediately request an autopsy,” he said in the complaint.

Arellano said that his ex -wife had approved surgery, which was performed by his partner, a 45 -year -old plastic surgeon identified as Victor “N”, owner of the clinic. He accused them of a “cover -up” and blamed them for the death of his daughter.

Mexico has no specific age limits for plastic surgery, but procedures are usually carried out in those children under 18 only with the consent of both parents.

“We are investigating a probable lack of attention from the mother” for “putting a minor who was under her care and custody in risk situations,” said, the Central Az, the Attorney General of Durango, Yadira de la Garza Fragoso.

The surgeon’s license has been suspended and is under negligence investigation. Prosecutors said they can follow more serious charges depending on the final autopsy report, which could take at least 10 days.

“There could be a crime of negligent homicide, and probably medical-professional responsibility,” said the attorney general.
