A former governor candidate of the late Nigerian Action Congress (ACN) and the Labor Party in the State of Rivers, Prince Tonyye Princewill, has been appointed the new Pole Dabo of the Grupo da Ogo de Casas and its communities in the Royal Family Rey Abbi, state of rivers.
Princewill was the governor candidate of both parties in 2007 and 2015, respectively. A former head of the Congress of all progressives (APC), since then has left politics.
A statement from the community spokesman, Daoigigo Ebenezer Pepple Amachree, revealed that Princewill, the first son of the deceased Amanyanabo of the Kalabari kingdom, his serene king of Majestad, Prof. Theophilus Jt Princewill, JP, will now serve as the parameter of the communities.
The statement of the community, which explained that the decision was announced by the interim chief of the family, chief Akodu Harrison Princewill, also revealed that Princewill’s nomination enjoyed “support for the overwhelming majority of bosses.”
The statement also recalled that the selection of a amanyanabo of the Kalabari kingdom, since the reign of King Kariboye-Abbi Benebo Princewill Amachree IV, has traditionally been limited to the male biological descendants of their two wives, Queen Eeba Bene and Queen Burowita.
“Da Ogo Polo, headed by the Headquarters of Da Ogo, carries the leadership load of the group of houses of Eleba Bene, which, in fact, has produced (4) four of the seven (7) kings after King Kariboye-Abbi Benebo Princewill Amachree IV”.
