The governor of the Niger, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has introduced a pioneer initiative to promote environmental cleaning and sustainability throughout the state.
The governor has approved the sanitation control regulations and environmental waste of the state of Niger 2025, a comprehensive legislative framework that governs environmental sanitation and waste management.
According to these regulations, individuals, properties and vehicles will be responsible for maintaining cleaning in its surroundings.
To guarantee the success of the initiative, Governor Bago has declared the last Saturday of each month as the day of environmental sanitation. These days, there will be restrictions on the movement from 7:00 am to 10:00 am, during which residents will carry out thorough cleaning and guarantee the elimination of safe waste.
This initiative aims to promote a clean and sustainable environment for all citizens of the state of Niger.
The administration of Governor Bago has demonstrated its commitment to sustainability, with the 2025 budget emphasizing agriculture as the cornerstone of the state economy while promoting rapid socioeconomic development.
