The authorities in Nepal have announced an increase in the number of deaths of last week’s protests to 72 As search teams continue to recover organizations for government office, houses and other flames buildings during anti -corruption protests, the Ministry of Health said on Sunday.
Violence, described as the most deadly political discomfort in decades, exploded when Nepali young people mainly pour into the streets of Katmandú and other cities earlier last week. The demonstrations forced Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to resign on Tuesday.
According to Reuters, security forces responded with tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse the crowds. Even so, the protesters set fire to several state institutions, including the Supreme Court, the Parliament, the police positions, the homes of politicians and private companies.
“The bodies of many people who died in shopping centers, houses and other buildings that were burned or attacked are now discovered,” said the Ministry of Health, Prakash Budathaki.
Ministry figures showed that at least 2,113 people have been injured in the riots, and the toll increased from 51 reported on Saturday.
