The president of the House of Representatives, Hon Tajudeen Abbas, congratulated the president of the Committee of Works of the House of Representatives, Hon Akin Alabi, for his installation as Jagun Olubadan de Ibadanland.
Abbas said that the honor conferred from Akin Alabi was a testimony of the legislators representing the federal constituency of EGBEDA/ONA-Ara in the National Assembly to the people of Ibadan.
In a letter with reference NASS/SPK/ADM/Vol.IV/0098, the speaker expects Alabi to continue promoting civic participation and maintaining the rich cultural heritage of Ibadanland.
“On behalf of the tenth chamber of representatives, I congratulate you for your installation as Jagun Olubadan de Ibadanland for his imperial majesty, Oba Akinloy Owolabi Olakulehin (Ige Olakulehin I).
“This distinguished honor recognizes its firm commitment to public service and its contributions to advance the welfare of its community. It also reflects the deep respect it has won within the traditional institution of Ibadan.
“We are sure that, in this new capacity, it will continue to encourage civic participation and defend the rich cultural heritage of Ibadanland.
