The British police are investigating a nightfire in a house belonging to Prime Minister Keir Starmer in northern London. No one was injured in the incident.

“The Prime Minister thanks emergency services for his work. The incident is subject to live investigation and, therefore, we will not comment more,” said a spokesman for the Starmer's Downing Street office spokesman.

Police said they were called to reports from a fire around 01:35 local time (0035 GMT).

“The officers attended the scene. Damage was caused to the entrance of the property, no one was injured,” said London Metropolitan Police. “The fire is being investigated and the laces remain in place while the consultations continue.”

The London Fire Brigade described it as a “small fire.”

Starmer, owner of a house in northern London, has been living in his office and residence of Downing Street since he became Prime Minister in July 2024.
