The Nigerian stock market began the week with a positive note, with the NGX All-Share (as) index by increasing 0.79 percent to close to 141,659 basic points, which increases the return of the year by 37.63 percent.

Specifically, profits in Bua Foods, Guarantery Trust Holding Company and Unilever Nigeria promoted the same in 0.8 percent, since these high limits were appreciated in the value of the shares by 6.7 percent, 1.3 % and 8.4 percent, respectively.

Consequently, monthly and year yields to date were established in +1.0 percent and +37.6 percent, respectively.

Total market capitalization increased by N704.38 billion to N89.63 billion.

As measured by the amplitude of the market, the feeling of the market was positive, since 30 tickers won in relation to 29 losers.

In the Performance Board, Living Trust Mortgage Bank and Etranzact led the winners after their respective prices of the shares were appreciated by 10.0 percent and 9.7 percent, respectively; While Macnicholas and Honeywell Flour Mills recorded the most significant losses of the day, having dropped into the value of the shares by 9.9 percent and 9.1 percent, respectively.

Sectorial performance was mixed as consumer goods and advanced banking rates by 3.5 percent and 0.1 percent, respectively; while insurance and oil and gas rates closed lower 0.2 percent and 1.0 percent, respectively. The Industrial Assets Index remained unchanged.

The commercial activity was vibrant, with the number of agreements by 33.08 percent to 31,578, the commercial volume increased by 27.69 percent to 555.12 million units, and the commercial value strongly increasing by 48.96 percent to N24.08 billion.

UAC Nigeria was the most negotiated by volume action at 67.17 million units, while Geregu Power was the most negotiated action by N10.28 billion.
