The governor of the state of Kano, Abba Kabir Yusuf, approved the appointment of Dr. Suroj Sulaiman as the new general statistic and general director of the Kano State Statistics Office.
This was contained in a statement issued by Governor’s spokesman, Sunusi Burature Dawakin Tofa, a copy available for presses in Kano
The statement says: “The appointment, which has an immediate effect, follows the completion of the mandate of the former general statistical professor Aliyu Isa Aliyu, who was elevated to the position of commissioner for the development of livestock.”
Yusuf ordered that the official delivery and overcoming ceremony be held between Monday and Friday of this week.
Suraj Sulaiman is an academic and mathematical consummate with vast experience in statistical research, teaching and analysis.
He obtained his doctorate in mathematics from the University Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Skudai, Johor Bahru, between 2015 and 2018, where he completed a doctoral thesis entitled “New method to calculate the projective resulting result based on Dixon, Jouanolou and Jacobians’.
It also has a Master of Science (MSC) in Mathematics of the University of Yasar, Izmir, Turkey (2012–2014), with a thesis on “T-Nocosingular Abelian Group”, and a degree in Science (BSC) in mathematics of the University of Kano of the University and Technology of Kano, Widil (2006–2010), where he worked in “A review of Operators Operators Ajotors Over Ajilbert Space “.
Sulaiman began his academic trip at the Faculty of Arts, Science and Remedial Studies, Kano, where he obtained a diploma in mathematical education between 2004 and 2006.
Governor Yusuf, in his congratulation message as DG of the Kano Statistics Office, congratulated Sulaiman for his deserved appointment, expressing his confidence that his richness of academic and professional experience will reposition the office for a more effective provision of services.
The governor reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to improve data -based governance, emphasizing that reliable statistics are crucial for effective planning, transparency and sustainable development in the state of Kano.
