Former Zamfara State Governor and Director General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign organisation, Senator Abdul’Aziz Yari, has said that taking into account the performance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the last three years, he would win a new term in 2027.

The senator representing Zamfara West made the statement on Sunday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, where he was welcomed upon arrival from his trip abroad by supporters of the party.
The Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council said Nigerians will continue to associate with the party based on its fidelity to its promises to the electorate.
He said: “I want to assure Nigerians that whatever promise we made during the campaign, we will keep our promises.”
“Today we have seen it [Bola Ahmed Tinubu] as president today, and by the grace of God, he will be president in 2027.”

“The crowd is here to pray for me and for the success of Mr. President.
“Our party is synonymous with keeping our words. We pray that Allah Almighty gives you [the President] the wisdom to lead this country. “We assure Nigerians that we will fulfill all our campaign promises.”
Senator Yari also declared that the APC would govern Nigeria beyond the 2027 electoral cycle.
“We pray that our party remains the party that leads the country after President Tinubu’s second term.”
Online tribune reports that the Presidency on Saturday announced the former Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) as the Director-General of Tinubu’s campaign for the upcoming general elections, while the Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, Senator Hope Uzodinma, emerged as Secretary of the Council.
