Southern Governors Forum Chairman and Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State described the national leader of the Congress of All Progressives, APC, as a ‘Capo’.
Akeredolu, who described Tinubu as a leader in the southern region of the country, said he was awaiting the arrival of the APC leader to make critical decisions for 2023.
Akeredolu, who is the chairman of the Southwest Governors Forum, said this during an interview on Arise Television on Sunday.
While emphasizing that his recent visit to the former Lagos State Governor in London had nothing to do with the 2023 elections.
On whether he will support Tinubu as the APC presidential candidate in 2023, Governor Akeredolu said that only the party of which he is a member will decide that.
“APC is a party. APC will decide who will be the candidate. I’ve said it several times. I’m going nowhere. If I leave APC, I’ll go back to my room. For me, whatever APC decides, I will follow.
“We went to London because it was important for us to go and see for ourselves. How are you. He is the Capo for us here. By the time it arrives, we can make some serious decisions. “
