US measles cases. UU. Top 1,000 for the first time in five years

The United States has registered more than 1,000 measles cases this year, a number not seen in five years, according to new data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Until Friday, 1,001 cases have been confirmed in 30 states.

These include Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisian Rhode, Tixase, Tixas, Tixas, Tixas, Texas, Texas, Texas. Virginia and Washington.

The last time that the United States saw more than 1,000 cases was in 2019, when 1,274 infections were reported during the year.

Experts say that measles is “one of the most contagious viruses known by humans.”

CDC officials report that 13% of those infected have been hospitalized this year.

Most hospitalized patients are under 19.

According to CDCs, about 96% of all confirmed cases are among people who are not vaccinated or have an unknown state of vaccination.

Another 2% of cases are found in individuals who received only one dose of the measles vaccine, papers and rubella (MMR).

An additional 2% is among those who received the complete two dose regime.
