The United States mission in Nigeria has welcomed the launch of a private company, Cassona's global image operations in the country, hosting investment as a significant impulse for the nation's health sector.
The commercial officer, mission of the United States in Nigeria, Blake Murray, at launching Thursday in Abuja, described the association as a powerful accelerator in the efforts of modernization of the health of Nigeria.

He said: “Nigerian companies and public institutions that collaborate with American medical suppliers, such as Cassona Global Imaging, have access to manufacturers of original teams, avant -garde technologies, world class standards and critical service and guarantee support”
Murray also pointed out that strategic associations between US companies and Nigerian institutions can improve patient results, reduce costs, expand access to medical care and advance disease prevention and control.
“The American mission in Nigeria is committed to deepen bilateral business relations between the two countries.
“Last year, bidirectional trade between the United States and Nigeria reached a record of $ 13 billion. Our shared objective is to promote bidirectional investment and deepen commercial ties between our nations.
“The United States Department of Commerce and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Investment of Nigeria de Nigeria will launch the United States Investment and Commercial Association in the United States and Nigeria next month in Abuja, prioritizing collaboration in agriculture, digital economy and infrastructure, including medical care infrastructure.
“This association is expected to unlock new opportunities for economic growth, job creation and technological advancement in Nigeria.
“When working together, the United States and Nigeria can address the challenges of pressing medical care and improve the lives of millions of Nigerians.
“Cassa Global Imaging's investment is a testimony of the growing interest of US companies in the Nigerian health sector.
“It demonstrates the potential of mutually beneficial associations that can boost progress and prosperity in both countries,” he said.
In addition, the president and CEO of Cassa Global Imaging Limited, John Chigbu, while talking to journalists, explained that the company's mission is to make quality medical care accessible to all Nigerians.
“We sell our equipment to a cost fraction. A CT scanner that would normally cost $ 1 million is available for $ 250,000. We not only sell it at an affordable price, we also finance it, which allows you to make a small initial payment and pay the rest for 24 months,” he said.
Chigbu also revealed that the company's equipment range includes ultrasound machines, X -ray machines, computerized tomography scanners and PET scanning, which will significantly improve the diagnosis of diseases in Nigeria.
He was followed that the lack of access to quality medical care has led to medical tourism, where Nigerians with the media abroad to receive treatment.
“We need to reverse this trend. We need medical tourism to come to Nigeria, not vice versa. We need quality medical care to be accessible to all, not only for those who can pay it.
