Zamfara: The commissioner complies with LG's presidents to address medical care challenges

Zamfara's Health Commissioner, Dr. Nafisa Muhammad Maradun, met with 14 presidents of the Local Government Council on the Leadership Challenge for the Provision of Medical Care, appreciating his support in the monthly drug supply in their areas.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Ministry of Health of the State of the Information Officer Zamfara, Suleiman Isah, revealed that the meeting was held on Wednesday on the PHC leadership challenge of the local government in the state.

He informed the commissioner who said that the purpose of the meeting was to sensitize the presidents of the LGA about the next leadership challenge of primary health care.

According to her, the meeting also informed the presidents of the Council about their roles in the delivery of qualitative services of Primary Health Care in the State.

In addition, the Executive Secretary of the Primary Health Care Board of Zamfara, Dr. Hussaini Anka, urged the presidents of the local government to offer their unwavering support for the success of the challenge.

Responding, the president of Algon, Hon. Samaila Husaini Moriki promised continuous support for state health initiatives and urged colleagues to support primary health care centers.

The state coordinator of the World Health Organization, Dr. Raji, also appreciated the presidents for their support for health interventions in their respective LGA.

He met that the meeting highlighted the importance of state and local collaboration in improving health provision in the State.
