The Ogun State Security, Social Guidance and Community Corps, popularly known as So-Safe Corps, has arrested a 42-year-old farmer, Ganiu Agbajo, for allegedly defiling a 12-year-old girl in Ipokia Local Government Area of ​​the state.
This was revealed on Thursday by the State Commander of the Corps, Commander Soji Ganzallo, through the Director of Information and Public Relations, ACC Adegunwa Adegbuyi, in a statement.
According to the release, the Corps received a distress report from community members on September 7, 2026, after the victim cried on the way home.
An eyewitness stated that the mother questioned the girl (name withheld) about what happened and she alleged that she was raped by a man.

The mother was said to have raised the alarm, prompting residents to report the incident to the Corps.
According to the report, operatives of the Corps arrested the suspect at his residence at Hassan Compound, Igbokulu, Ita-Egbe, Ipokia.
During preliminary interrogation, the suspect reportedly confessed to the crime and said he committed the act in his farmland located at Ojugo, Ita-Egbe.
State Commander Ganzallo commended residents for their prompt action and urged the public to report all illegal and suspicious acts to the agency for appropriate action to be taken.
The statement added that the suspect has been handed over to relevant authorities for further investigation and prosecution.
