Nigerian singer Simi, whose full name is Simisola Kosoko, shared why she loves her husband, Adekunle Gold, who is also a singer.
Simi fell in love with Adekunle because he is very good at graphic design and using Photoshop.
She talked about this when Adekunle helped edit a photo for a Nigerian chess master, Tunde Onakoya, on X (formerly known as Twitter). Tunde wanted a water bottle removed from his picture, and Adekunle did it perfectly.
After seeing the edited photo, Simi said, “This is why I fell in love with you. I don’t know why you started singing.”
Before becoming famous for his music, Adekunle was known for his amazing Photoshop skills. He even designed the logo for Olamide’s record label, YBNL Nation, and got signed to the label afterward.
Adekunle Gold and Simi got married on January 9, 2019, in Lagos, Nigeria. They had their first child, a daughter named Adejare, in 2020.
