The senior pastor of the Dunamis International Gospels Center, Dr. Paul Eneche, has emphasized that self -defense is a fundamental human right backed by national and international legal provisions.
Speaking during the Sunday service of May blessing at the headquarters of the Church in Abuja, the pastor declared that he is not only consecrated in the Nigerian Constitution, but also affirms the United Nations Human Rights Charter.

He said: “Self -defense is a fundamental human right. It is in the Constitution. It is in the Criminal Code; it is even in the United Nations Human Rights Charter.”
Citing section 36, subsection 5 of the Constitution, emphasized that the legal basis for self -defense is clearly described.
He said: “Section 36, Subsection 5, the details are all there.”
Eneche also directed prayers for Nigeria and other African countries that fight against insecurity.
The cleric made reference to a Togo report, where a government representative revealed continuous insecurity in the northern region of the country.
He also mentioned Chad and the Republic of Niger as similar affected nations, asking the divine intervention to deliver the continent from the scourge of violence.
He said: “In Togo, a representative of the country's leadership told us that they are suffering calamity in the northern part of their country.
“We pray for Togo. Go to Chad, go to the Republic of Niger, everything is over. Father, helps Africa and gave us from Scourge. Nigeria and Africa, free us from this flagella of murderers for the blood of Jesus.”
