This movement marks a significant change in Gates's approach to philanthropy, and the foundation is expected to increase its annual expense from $ 6 billion to $ 9 billion by 2026.
Gates's decision occurs when governments worldwide are reducing international aid, which raises concerns about stagnant progress in research and other crucial projects.
