A Nigerian popularly known as the famous mother of Los Angeles and the Queen of Gele, Dr. Azeezat Abiola has revealed that he tied the gele on the head of the popular American musician, Beyonce Knowles-Carter in Brown Skin Girl's video.
Azeezat, who is the executive director of Abiola Beauty Concept, announced this to Tribune Online on Wednesday.
The famous mother said that Beyonce wanted an authentic way to tie Gele to project the image of culture.
She, therefore, said that Yoruba culture is so rich and beautiful, insisting on the need to tell the stories more.
“I have taken Gele to Hollywood correctly. I have designed the number one in the entire world, which is Queen Beyonce. I put my mark when I had the video of the brown skin and the king of the lions.
“I was fascinated with the way we tied Gele and wanted the authentic way. He decided not to go through the car gle. I wanted people to see the beauty of culture.
“I tell people that our culture is rich and beautiful. I say that we are the ones who would tell history and that no one else would tell that story for us,” he said.
