The new executive director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) group, Bayo Ojulari, has publicly expressed its roots in northern Nigeria, pointing to its surprise in some reactions after its recent appointment.

Speaking to the press, Ojulari clarified its roots in northern Nigeria, stating: “I was surprised when people said it was not from the north. I am a son of the north, and I come from Ilorin. I grew up in the state of Kaduna. I began to learn Yoruba when I was 15 years old. When I left Kaduna, I went to Tsaria to study, so I am a Northerner (Northerner (Northerner (Northerne, “.

He appealed the support and prayers of citizens throughout the country, particularly those of the northern region, in their efforts to advance both in the region and in the country in general.

“I need the north support to do this job well and bring development to the north and all Nigeria. I need everyone's prayer, since this work is not what a person can do. We need to work together to guarantee Nigeria's progress,” said Ojulari.

When addressing recent reports from a tense relationship between NNPCL and the Dangote group, the new CEO indicated that measures are being taken to reconcile any existing difference.

“Dangote has made significant contributions, which deserve praise,” he acknowledged.

“We have had conversations to resolve the conflict. In the future, we will collaborate to guarantee a constant fuel supply for the Nigerians.”

He assured the public that future disagreements would be resolved through dialogue, stating: “He will not hear more clashes between NNPCL and Dangote Refinery. We will work together for Nigeria's benefit.”

Ojulari also commented on the recent decrease in world prices of crude oil and its potential impact on Nigeria's income projections.

“This decrease affects Nigeria's budget, since an important part is based on projected oil income,” he explained.

However, he assured that NNPCL is actively working on reducing operating costs to optimize oil and gas sales profits in the light of price drop.

Responding to public concerns regarding the late reflection of the lowest world prices of crude oil in local fuel costs, Ojulari clarified the dynamics involved.

“Yeah [dealers] It bought fuel at a higher price before the fall, they must sell to that old rate. But with new purchases at lower prices, we hope that local prices will eventually reflect the change, ”he said, indicating an eventual adjustment in local pump prices.
