The vice president of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, has said that it was clear for the progress made so far that President Tinubu and all the progressives of Congress (APC) would have a sliding victory in the general elections of 2027.
Therefore, he requested unity among party members to guarantee the success of Mr. President.
He announced his victory while talking at the zonal meeting of the party in the north of the West, convened by the coordinated governor, Governor Uba Sani, over the weekend.
According to him, “it is clear in 2027, we will have a landslide victory, Inshallah. So we continue along the way.
“Let's continue cooperating with each other, working with the president, we work with everyone, cooperate among us so that we have the desired victory.”
He said that the dropout of the unconditional of the political parties of the opposition to the APC was as a result of the performance of President Tinubu to address the challenges that accumulate the country.
“This is not happening for anything. There are reasons for this. What are the reasons? Number one is the performance of our beloved president. The president, of course, inherited many challenges, which accumulates our country. But he has created programs and policies to overcome these challenges.
“Security challenges, economic challenges, name them. We have seen how it has dealt with our problem, our security problem, the security we have faced in the northwest.
“Several areas were not accessible before now. You couldn't go to some areas before now. But now you can go to some places, you can travel to Kaduna. This was quite impossible before he came to power.
“Similarly, before this administration, I could not go to Birnin Gwari, but life has returned to the area. People have returned to their farmland
Now several areas that were not accessible are accessible. We know we are where we want to be. We are not there yet. We are not finally there. But it is a job in progress. Mr. President is working hard, day after day, to overcome the insecurity problem of this country, particularly in the northwest. It is a job in progress. It is easy to have problems, but it is not easy to solve them.
“And, of course, that is not alone. That is not the only reason we are having these affluences for our party. The performance of our governors. Our governors are fine, that work on the day,” he said.
He added that, “the president, the national president of our party, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, leads all the party leaders in the country to achieve these improvements that we are witnessing in APC. We are all here as brothers and sisters.
“So we continue to cooperate among ourselves, we work among ourselves, let's do everything that is humanly possible to achieve the necessary development to our people so that our party can be strengthened more and more.
“Then, by 2027, we will have no problem to make sure we have the expected victory that we are beginning to see. Because, as we talk, it seems that it has no other political party in the country, or even in the northwest. Therefore, it is always said.”
