A group within the Congress of all progressives (APC), the Progressive Voting Forum (PVF) has chosen President Bola Tinubu and the National Party Work Committee (NWC) for the initiative to hold the first National APC summit.
The Summit scheduled to be held on Thursday in the presidential town, Abuja, with the issue, “Agenda of renewed hope: the trip so far”, President Bola Tinubu is expected to attend the President; Vice President Kashim Shettima, president of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, vice president of the Barau Jibrin Senate; The president of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, and the governors in the controlled states of APC and their deputies.
Speaking at the event that will also have delegates from the 36 states and the territory of the Federal Capital,
The national PVF coordinator, Dr. Olusegun Kenneth, said: “The summit will provide APC leaders with the opportunity to review the performance of the party as a ruling political party, the dialogue on how to advance to the country and unite the leaders of the party most before future elections.”
Dr. Kenneth said the meeting will also be an opportunity for President Tinubu to show his achievements in the last two years.
“As a forum, we believe that this summit arrives at the right time. For the 29 of this month, two good years will spend that our friendly president Bola Ahmed Tinubu took over. Therefore, as a responsible part, the NWC of Ganduje has provided this opposition platform to many achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the hope of the renewal that has been under the reports or the opposition.
“However, we call all the delegates to the summit to attend with an open mind and participate in a productive dialogue that will solidify our party, evangelize it more Nigerians and promote APC to Victories in future elections.
“This summit must also incorporate different interests and groups and find a way to accommodate all interests, including those that are only joining the fold.”
The statement also asked the faithful of the party to continue galvanizing the support for the renewed hope of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, adding that “the Government has used the last two years to set good bases for the economy, infrastructure and well -being of Nigerians, and the results have begun to yield as products prices have begun to fall, infrastructure among others.
“We believe that this national summit is in the interest of the Nigerians and the Nation. In due time, the Nigerians will fully ignore the noisy opposition parties and their figures, and will adopt the renewed agenda of hope,” the statement said.
