Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has registered in the contributory health scheme of the state of Niger, code called Nicare.

This was done by the agency's executive secretary, Dr. Sulayman Abu-Bakar, in the Chamber of the Government Chamber of the Council, Minna.

He stressed the importance and benefits of this scheme and encouraged people, especially those of the formal sector, to explore the opportunity.

The governor, who applauded Nicare's executive secretary for presenting the transformation in the agency and increasing the number of registrations, ordered all those interested to appropriate the scheme, adding that public confidence is public wealth.

The state comrade of Niger, Yakubu Garba, and the secretary of the state government, Abubakar Usman, were also registered in the scheme by the agency's executive secretary, Sulayman Abu-Bakar.

Previously, Nicare's executive secretary, Dr. Sulayman Abu-Bakar, in a PowerPoint presentation, reported the numerous achievements that the agency had registered since the beginning of the current administration.

He explained that the agency has been able to introduce a productivity awards system where it gave 3 workers employees, reviewed its operational guidelines, which resulted in an increase in the number of its directors from 5 to 6, introduced a capital fund, a private sector plan and an incentive system, among others.

He said that due to the political will of the governor and his support for Nicare, the total registration has increased from 53,000 to 139,000, which represents an increase of more than 160%.
