The Niger state government has begun a financial education training program for 6,000 young people in the 25 areas of the local government in the state.
Training is part of government efforts to empower young people with skills and knowledge to improve their businesses and productivity.
The Special Advisor of the Social Investment Program of Niger, Hajiya Hauwa Bako, said the program was an opportunity for young people to acquire skills and knowledge that will allow them to improve their businesses and livelihoods.
She advised the beneficiaries to take training seriously and take the most of the opportunity to improve their lots.
“A door has opened, and they should grab it and improve its future,” he said.
She urged them to concentrate and be attentive, noting that there are many opportunities with the training session.
According to her, the development of human capital is in the center of the heart of New Niger as the vision of Governor Bago, and building the abilities of young people and women as promoters of development.
Also speaking, permanent secretary, Ministry of Micro-Small and Enterprise, Lady Helen Umaru emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship in today's world, where there are no more white collar jobs.
She advised the beneficiaries to take full advantage of the program to empower and improve their livelihoods.
In her comments, Ms. Mary Noel Berje, a special advisor to Niger's governor about women and affirmative actions, said the program was aimed at empowering women through financial education to promote economic growth and development.
She emphasized the importance of knowledge of financial education in today's world, saying that acquiring knowledge of financial education was a global trend.
Berje expressed optimism that the program would address the issue of women who remain, providing them with opportunities to improve their economic status.
Similarly, the general director of the small and a half Enterprise and the micro finance agency, Malam Ahmed Gwada explained that the training focuses on women between the ages of 18 and 35 to improve their capacities in business development.
He pointed out that training would allow beneficiaries to improve and improve their businesses, and also impact other people who want to improve their businesses.
Some of the beneficiaries, including Fatima Rufai and Aisha Bosso, expressed their gratitude to the government for the opportunity, stating that the program has been shocking by teaching them how to start and administer a business.
It will be remembered that the government of the state of Niger in associations with Mastercard Foundation and Enterprise Development Center has launched in March an online and off -line training: 'Transforming the Nigerian Youth Program (TNY).
The program was to train 10,000 young people, particularly young women, 60 percent online and 40 percent training offline, aiming 80 percent young and 20 percent of male entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 35.
