Days after it was declared missing, the body of a Lagos banker, Osudiamen Idemudia, has been discovered in a morgue in the Yaba area of the state of Lagos.
Daily Post had previously reported that Idemudia, 26, who worked in the point of sale department of a commercial bank located in the Ikota area, was last seen on the night of May 9 around CMS, Lagos Island.
A family member identified simply as according to confirmed that the deceased was found on Sunday after an exhaustive search through several hospitals and mortuary throughout the state.
“We have found Osemudiamp's body. He was killed. We found the body on Sunday in a morgue in Yaba with machete cuts on the head, face and legs. I am very sad,” according to.
According to him, the nature of the wounds strongly suggests that the young banker may have been brutally attacked and killed.
As also revealed that Morgue attendees informed the family that the body had been deposited by police officers.
However, attempts to obtain more details about the circumstances surrounding his death, including the precise location where his body was recovered, have not been successful, since the officers involved were not identified.
“Morgue staff members said the body was brought by the police, but when we asked where they brought the body, they could not provide an answer.
“They said they had no details of the police who brought the body to their facilities. That made the discovery more complicated.”
Meanwhile, the deceased's remains had been buried by the family on Tuesday.
