Recently, the main youth and pop culture platform in Africa, MTV Base, began its highly anticipated base Day 2025 with an unforgettable night in Voda Beach, Electushi.
The event, which marked the beginning of a vibrant three cities tour that celebrated 20 years of MTV base that defends African music and culture on the global stage, brought together music lovers in Lagos for an extraordinary day of performances and immersive entertainment.
The long -awaited event presented performances by legendary and emerging Nigerian artists. The veterans act as Faze and Bigiano shared the stage with rising stars such as Ayo Maff, Ayanfe, Rybeena and Omizzy, offering a perfect combination of nostalgia and contemporary vibrations.
While the sun was established, the celebration continued with the consecutive DJ sets of some of the best in Africa, including DJ Picasso, DJ Spin, DJ Dunes and DJ Venomm, keeping the crowd dancing until late at night with timeless successes and hymns.
The cured alignment reflected MTV's commitment to show the best African talent while connecting with a new generation of fans.
Speaking at the event, Busola Komolafe, Senior Channels Manager, Paramount Africa, Said, “MTV Base You have a Catalyst of the African Cultural Phenomenon that we are winnessing today globally, and This Event was a celebration to Honour 20 Years of MTV Base 'Impact on African Music and Culture.
The event extended beyond music, while attendees explored cured areas that celebrate contemporary African culture through fashion, food and art.
