The governor on Monday Okpebholo, from the state of Edo, approved the total rehabilitation of more than 45 failed portions on the Auchi-Ibillo road, a federal highway in Akoko-Edo Road, area of ​​the local government of the State.
Palliative measures are part of the administration movements led by Okpebholo to revive economic activities in cities and towns within the area of ​​the local government of Akoko Edo.

The approval of the Auchi-Ibillo road is arriving, just as the state government has completed the construction of the Ikiran-Oke Ikakhumah road, also in the local government of Akoko Edo.
The Auchi-Ibillo road is one of the many deplorable federal roads in the state that is rehabilitated by the administration.
The road that connects many communities in the local government of Akoko Edo with the rest of the state also serves as a link between Kogi and the states of Ondo. It serves as an important route for vehicles that carry Abuja lakes.
The residents of the area, known for the quarry business, as well as for the processing of cassava, denounced the difficulty they face by transporting their products to the markets.
A commercial driver who played the area explained that the deplorable condition of the road had resulted in less drivers who made the route and had increased the cost of transporting products from Akoko Edo.
For its part, the contractor who manages the project, Mr. Bajwa Hammed, after a preliminary route along the road, assured the people of Akoko Edo that all the failed sections would be completely rehabilitated to meet the maximum standard.
He said: “There are many points that have failed in this path, which must be done quickly for the safe step of people and vehicles. Be the standard that the governor wants, and we will deliver it.”
